Alongside
the glorious Geloso equipment and radios, the Heathkit
equipment cannot be missing in an amateur radio room or
on a collector's shelf, a US
company that since 1947 began to produce kits of
electronic equipment and instrumentation for technicians
and radio amateurs. It was not easy to find these kits in Italy, but the fame of the manufacturer spread rapidly also in Europe above all for the quality of the components and the painstaking precision with which the assembly instructions were drawn up, instructions which, if followed carefully, always ensured a perfect positive result. Too bad that like so many other good things from the past, today Heathkit no longer exists, but if you recognize this mark on an old piece of equipment in some online auction or in an electronics fair, don't forget to buy it, you certainly won't regret it. © IK3HIA, 2023 |

Non era facile trovare tali Kit in Italia, ma la fama del produttore si diffuse rapidamente anche in Europa, soprattutto per la qualità dei componenti e la precisione certosina con cui venivano redatte le istruzioni di montaggio, istruzioni che se venivano seguite alla lettera assicuravano sempre un risultato positivo. Peccato che come tante altre cose buone del passato oggi Heathkit non esista più, ma se in qualche asta online o in una fiera dell'elettronica riconoscete tale marchio su una vecchia apparecchiatura non mancate di acquistarla, sicuramente non ve ne pentirete. © IK3HIA, 2023 |
