Sony mod. TR-650 - Japan 1962 The TR-650 was the third model of pocket radio produced by Sony after the TR-610 and TR-620. The TR-650 has a better sound reproduction than the previous models thanks to a larger diameter speaker that obviously characterizes its size and also its appearance. This radio receives Medium Mves with frequency coverage from 530 to 1605 KHz, the circuit is a superheterodyne with 6 germanium transistors: 2SC73, 2SC76, 2SC76, 2SD65, 2SD65, 2SD65 and a 1T23 germanium diode. The antenna It is wrapped around a ferrite core and the Intermediate Frequency is at 455 kHz. Power is supplied by a 9 V battery of the 6F22 type for transistors, the dimensions are: 3.7 x 2.6 x 1.2 inch (WxHxD) and the weight is 7 oz. This radio, too, having been produced in Japan during the Cold War and marketed by Sony in the United States, has two triangles printed on the dial corresponding to the frequencies of the CONELRAD atomic alarm system. Sony mod. TR-650 - Giappone 1962  La TR-650 è stata il terzo modello di radio tascabile prodotto della Sony dopo la TR-610 e la TR-620. Il Tr-650 ha una riproduzione sonora migliore rispetto ai modelli precedenti grazie a un altoparlante di diametro maggiore che ovviamente caratterizza le sue dimensioni e anche il suo aspetto. Questa radio riceve le onde medie con copertura in frequenza da 530 a 1605 KHz, il circuito è una supereterodina a 6 transistor al germanio: 2SC73, 2SC76, 2SC76, 2SD65, 2SD65, 2SD65 e un diodo al germanio 1T23. L'antenna è avvolta su un nucleo di ferrite e la Frequenza Intermedia è a 455 kHz. L'alimentazione è fornita da una batteria da 9 V del tipo 6F22 per transistor, le dimensioni sono: 6,4 x 9,4 x 2,8 cm (L,A,P) e il peso è di 0.2 kg. Anche questa radio, essendo stata prodotta in Giappone durante la Guerra Fredda e commercializzata dalla Sony anche negli Stati Uniti, sulla scala parlante ha impressi due triangolini in corrispondenza delle frequenze del sistema di allarme atomico CONELRAD.
