Raytron Electronics - mod. Long Life - Milan, Italy - 1962. Portable superheterodyne receiver for the Medium Wave band. The circuit uses 7 germanium transistors: OC170, OC170, OC170, OC71, OC71, OC72, OC72 and a diode OA79. The antenna is wound around a ferrite core and the connections between the components are made with anchor points and wires welded to the various parts without using a printed circuit. The cabinet is made of wood covered with imitation leather and equipped with a carrying handle. On the front right is the large round knob for tuning, on the left side of the cabinet is the slide switch for power on/off. On the upper part, starting from the left, there is the socket for an external antenna, then the volume control and to the right there are two slide controls, one for the tone control and the other for the reception sensitivity. Power is supplied by two 4.5V type 3R12B type flat batteries. The dimensions are: 9.1 x 6.3 x 2.4 (W,H,D) inch. © IK3HIA, 2006.

Il circuito utilizza 7 transistor al germanio: OC170, OC170, OC170, OC71, OC71, OC72, OC72 e un diodo OA79. L'antenna è avvolta su un nucleo di ferrite e i collegamenti tra i componenti sono realizzati con basette di supporto e fili saldati alle varie parti senza l'utilizzo di un circuito stampato. Il mobiletto è in legno ricoperto di finta pelle e dotato di maniglia per il trasporto. Sul davanti a destra c'è la larga manopola tonda per la sintonia, sulla parte laterale sinistra del mobiletto è situato l'interruttore a slitta per l'accensione. Sulla parte superiore partendo da sinistra c'è la presa per un'antenna esterna, poi il controllo del volume e verso destra ci sono due comandi a slitta, uno per il controllo del tono e l'altro per la sensibilità in ricezione.
