Headphones SAFNAT "DEA" Mod. 357 - SAFNAT (S.A. Fabbr. Naz. Appar. Telefonici)
Via Garofalo 31, Milan - Italy Date of construction 1940-09-01. SAFNAT was a manufacturer of telephone, telegraphy and communications equipment based in Milan. On the back of the headphone earcup, the date 1.9.40 appears at the top and the Savoy coat of arms was printed at the bottom. The earcups of the headphones were made of black Bakelite and were connected by a steel headband. The two 250 Ohm windings in each earcup were connected in series and since the two pavilions were also wired in series, the total impedance of the headphones was 1000 Ohm. DEA headphones were used by the Royal Italian Army during the 1930s and 1940s in field radio Type R.F.2, R.F.3.A and other equipments. © IK3HIA, 2024. |
