Il Chinaglia mod. 560 è un provavalvole ad emissione che può verificare la presenza di eventuali cortocircuiti tra gli elettrodi e l'efficienza di vari tubi termoionici europei e americani. La selezione delle tensioni di prova da applicare ai piedini degli zoccoli avviene tramite 10 commutatori a levetta posti sotto il microamperometro dove è visualizzata l'efficienza o meno della valvola in esame. Un'undicesimo commutatore a levetta funziona da interruttore di accensione e seleziona il tipo di prova da effettuare ovvero: Spento, Cortocircuito, Regolazione rete ed Efficienza. Con la levetta in posizione di "Regolazione di rete" e agendo sull'apposito potenziometro "Regolazione di rete" posto in basso a sinistra bisogna far coincidere l'indice dello strumento di misura con il relativo segno giallo al centro del quadrante. In basso a destra c'è il selettore "Filamento" per scegliere la tensione di accensione del tubo, e il potenziometro "Taratura" dove impostare il valore per la verifica dell'emissione. Le posizioni delle levette e delle manopole Filamento e Taratura sono tratte dal libretto annesso allo strumento che contiene le istruzioni d'uso ed elenca le sigle delle valvole. Il provavalvole è racchiuso in una valigetta di legno ricoperta in finta pelle e dotata di maniglia per il trasporto. L'alimentazione è in corrente alternata con cambiotensione da 110 a 280 Va.c., le dimensioni sono: 300 x 130 x 236 mm e il peso è di 3.8 kg. © IK3HIA, 2004 - 2023


The Chinaglia mod. 560 is an emission tube tester which can check the presence of any short circuits between the electrodes and the efficiency of various European and American thermionic tubes. The selection of the test voltages to be applied to the feet of the sockets takes place via 10 toggle switches located under the microammeter where the efficiency or otherwise of the valve under test is displayed. An eleventh toggle switch acts as an power on switch and selects the type of test to be carried out, namely: Off, Short-circuit, Mains regulation and Efficiency. With the lever in the "Network regulation" position and acting on the appropriate "Network regulation" potentiometer located at the bottom left, it is necessary to make the pointer of the measuring instrument coincide with the relative yellow sign in the center of the dial. At the bottom right there is the "Filament" selector to choose the heater voltage of the tube, and the "Calibration" potentiometer to set the value for emission verification. The positions of the levers and the Filament and Calibration knobs are taken from the booklet attached to the instrument which contains the instructions for use and lists the valve codes. The valve tester is enclosed in a wooden case covered in imitation leather and equipped with a carrying handle. The power supply is in alternating current with voltage change from 110 to 280 Va.c., the dimensions are: 11.8 x 5.1 x 9.3 inch and the weight is 8 lb 5.9 oz (8.37 lb). © IK3HIA, 2004 - 2023
